Communications Award Winners Share Secrets of Success

Many professional communicators produce award-worthy work, but only a select few receive the recognition they deserve.

At the June 17 meeting of International Association of Business Communicators’ Tulsa chapter, a panel of award winners and judges will share secrets to success in advance of the upcoming 2009 Bronze Quill and regional Silver Quill competitions.

The panel will feature:

• Chris Owen, director of marketing and communications for RL Hudson, which has received more than 20 IABC Bronze Quill awards over the years, in addition to numerous ADDY awards from the Tulsa Advertising Federation. Owen has been with RL Hudson for 12 years.
• Ed Bettinger of Public Service Company of Oklahoma, winner of numerous Bronze and Silver Quill awards and frequent judge of both local and regional competitions during his 30 years as an IABC member.
• Leslee Stewart, IABC Tulsa past president, winner of multiple Bronze Quill awards and many other honors during her career as a marketing communication and branding professional.

The luncheon, which is open to public, will be at D’Novo Lean Gourmet, 61st & Yale in the KingsPointe Village shopping center, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration for IABC members is $20 and guests are $25.
